Immersive AFL Footy Finals Activation at SCS
In late September, Polite Playground was thrilled to bring the Grand Final atmosphere to Melbourne, transforming Southern Cross Station to look like the MCG, taking patrons on an immersive Footy journey through this custom 8m x 10m activation floor.
In just under two months, our team brought the Finals Footy experience live to Southern Cross Station!
Having collaborated with AFL House and JCDecaux, we were able to welcome commuters at the station to an interactive experience that elevated the finals footy fever for families, kids, and even your Nan!
Guests immersed themselves in the Toyota AFL Finals excitement with a chance to step inside our custom 360 Booth, replicating the grassy footy field from every angle possible!
We saw patrons of all generations come through to have a spin on the 360 platform, resulting in over 200 videos and 90,000 total impressions over four days!
Aiding our 360 Booth were three life-sized plinths that featured a QR code, allowing commuters the opportunity to get creative and capture their own iconic selfies on their devices. All the photos and videos were then showcased on a live TV feed for all to see on the Activation floor via a custom-branded 75' screen.
What’s the first thing #millennials do after getting a fresh new hairstyle?! Whether it’s just a cut or a full-on colour transformation – it didn’t happen if it’s not on social media. After students had their hair professionally dyed, they headed over to our PIXTA Pod ‘Selfie Station’ to capture the perfect shot.
