Personalised Christmas Wrapping Paper

We love a good challenge and that's exactly what we faced with this brief from The Spaceship for Christmas with Microsoft. Our custom software workflow was up to the challenge though and this in-store experiential activity led to countless onsite impressions and thousands of holiday-themed branded collateral going home with consumers.

We were happier than a bunch of kids on Christmas morning when The Spaceship approached us to create a custom experiential activation for a Microsoft Christmas campaign at their flagship stores in Sydney and New York City to create a memorable onsite experience for customers, allow them to personalise their own creation and give them something tangible to take home.

So, how exactly did we pull off this bit of magical Microsoft holiday fun? First, participants were guided through a series of steps in-store to customise the colour scheme and design of their custom wrapping paper, as well as the option to include their own personal message.

Curious to know what exactly a ‘styling bar’ entails? An epic pop-up salon in the middle of campus – styling chairs, wash station, blow dry bar, and professional hair stylists to look after your locks.

What’s the first thing #millennials do after getting a fresh new hairstyle?! Whether it’s just a cut or a full-on colour transformation –  it didn’t happen if it’s not on social media. After students had their hair professionally dyed, they headed over to our PIXTA Pod ‘Selfie Station’ to capture the perfect shot.

Equipped with a bright ring light, you’re definitely going to snap a few different options because let’s be honest, you’ll want the content for a good #throwback down the track. After students snapped their ‘before and after’ shots, they were able to instantly send their content to themselves using our social sharing software.
