Monash University’s Faculty of Education wanted to shine a light on the incredible impact teachers have in our lives. With their #ThankYourTeacher campaign, we were tasked with creating an interactive brand experience that could engage students on-campus and the broader public at Federation Square in Melbourne.

The Brief.

The activation needed to:

  • Celebrate and amplify the positive impact of teachers

  • Drive social engagement around the #ThankYourTeacher campaign

  • Deliver an on-campus and citywide experience with a strong emotional connection

How We Did It.

We designed an experiential photo marketing activation supported by a digital social mosaic. Here’s how it worked:

  • Participants captured branded photos and messages of thanks

  • Each contribution was instantly uploaded to a dynamic digital mosaic display, bringing the campaign to life in real time

  • The mosaic grew throughout the activation, creating a visual celebration of gratitude for teachers

This dual approach ensured Monash could engage both students in-person and the wider Melbourne community, while amplifying the message on social media.

The campaign delivered:

  • High levels of student participation on-campus

  • Public visibility at Federation Square, connecting with city-goers

  • A growing library of user-generated content amplifying the #ThankYourTeacher message across digital channels

By combining experiential engagement with digital storytelling, Monash successfully created a campaign that was personal, shareable, and deeply impactful.
