To showcase the vibrant culture of Washington DC, we partnered with Destination DC and Canuckiwi to deliver a full-scale experiential activation in the heart of Sydney. The goal? To prove to Sydneysiders that DC is far more than just politics—it’s a city rich in food, music, people, and unforgettable experiences.

The Brief.

Destination DC wanted to:

  • Promote Washington DC to an Australian audience

  • Bring the city’s culture to life in an immersive, shareable way

  • Drive awareness through an engaging, multi-sensory activation

How We Did It.

Our team worked closely with international and local partners to design, build, and manage the site at Martin Place. The activation combined:

  • DSLR Studio Photo Booth & Custom Set: Guests captured premium photos against a branded backdrop for instant digital sharing

  • Immersive VR experiences: Transporting attendees to Washington DC streetscapes and attractions

  • Cultural food experiences: Complimentary coffee, gourmet hot dogs (inspired by Ben’s Chili Bowl), and bespoke gelato (inspired by Ice Cream Jubilee)

  • Travel & hospitality partners onsite: United Airlines and Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants providing travel advice and exclusive offers

  • Tote bag giveaways: With maps and DC visitor guides to extend the experience beyond the event

The Impact
