AFL Personlised Player Cards at Salesforce World Tour Sydney.

Salesforce World Tour is a high-energy event drawing over 10,000 trailblazers in innovation, leadership, and technology. The goal was to deliver a brand activation that stood out—one that combined experiential marketing with a tactile, personalised takeaway.

The Solution

Our mission? Transform attendees into their own AFL icons with custom-designed player cards, creating an unforgettable, shareable experience that elevated brand engagement at conferences to new heights. After extensive testing at our Sydney HQ, Polite Playground delivered an activation that fused footy fandom with cutting-edge tech and seamless execution.

Here’s how we did it:

  • Premium DSLR Photo Studio: Guests stepped into a professional studio setup to pose solo or in pairs—channeling their inner AFL superstar.
  • Digital Greenscreen Backgrounds: We recreated the colossal atmosphere of a packed stadium, immersing guests in a scene worthy of a grand final.
  • Custom Player Cards: Attendees selected their favourite team logo from 18 AFL options, added custom text, and received a personalised marketing piece they could instantly share and take home.

Our in-house software made real-time overlays possible, giving every photo a dynamic, professional finish that looked straight out of a sports magazine.

Curious to know what exactly a ‘styling bar’ entails? An epic pop-up salon in the middle of campus – styling chairs, wash station, blow dry bar, and professional hair stylists to look after your locks.

What’s the first thing #millennials do after getting a fresh new hairstyle?! Whether it’s just a cut or a full-on colour transformation –  it didn’t happen if it’s not on social media. After students had their hair professionally dyed, they headed over to our PIXTA Pod ‘Selfie Station’ to capture the perfect shot.

Equipped with a bright ring light, you’re definitely going to snap a few different options because let’s be honest, you’ll want the content for a good #throwback down the track. After students snapped their ‘before and after’ shots, they were able to instantly send their content to themselves using our social sharing software.
