It doesn't get much bigger than TEDx and we took the opportunity to produce a bespoke activation for Virgin Australia and Delta Airlines. A unique set design combined with engaging greenscreen content produced fantastic results.
In May 2019, we helped our friends at Virgin Australia and Delta Airlines to show the world (or at least TEDx attendees) that both major airlines have ‘linked their wings’ and were now flying to numerous new locations in North America together – talk about #goals! We needed to create an activation that entertained fans onsite and online, created buzzing social content and stood out on the day. T
On the day, TEDx guests were invited to the Virgin Australia themed business lounge where they could enjoy a complimentary drink, take a moment to relax on the lounges and even charge their devices – don’t want anyone to miss any chance to connect! From here, guests were greeted by Virgin Australia flight attendant and given their very own custom printed boarding pass, complete with a special redemption offer from the airlines.
Using this pass, guests could determine which destination they were visiting – Los Angeles, New York City or Vancouver. After we captured their unique cinemagraph, participants received their content instantly via SMS and email. The videos were immediately ready for sharing. And oh boy, did they share it.
Over 93% of users shared their cinemagraph on the day, generating over 25,000 online impressions. We love seeing activations with such high social sharing as we understand the importance of measurable ROI to our clients.
